Earlier this pre-season we sat down with Head Coach Fred Kim for a quick Q&A about the upcoming season. Below you can find what the 4th year coach has to say about the upcoming season:

What are the teams goals for the 2007 season?

Our goal is always to win the State Championship. Along that will come a playoff berth, Division/County Title, and Regional Title. We also want to get as many Senior into college as possible and playing college football.

What are the strengths of this year's team?

Our skill position and experience at QB. We have tremendous speed on this year's team from top to bottom. No one real burner, but great overall team speed and athleticism.

Who has stepped up and proven to be a leader for this coming season?

Aron McDonald, Kenny Traylor Jr., Alex Betancourt, and Taiquon Hill have risen to the challenge and have proven themselves to be very capable leaders by example and vocally. They have show tremendous work ethic, a great attitude, and productive on the field.

Who has showed the most marked improvement after this past off season?

Cody Walko - Jr. DL/OL, Frank Degboevi - Sr. DL/OL

Who are the underclassmen that surprised you this pre-season?

Mark Henderson WRCB, Delontae Watson RB/SS, Cody Walko OL/DL

Who are this years DI college prospects?

Aron McDonald, Jamaal Martin

Finally, it has been a few years since Seneca has played Damascus. How do you feel about the role the old rivalry will play in this years meeting?

I believe a lot of the coaches are more excited about playing Damascus then the players, because many of us are alumni who actually played against them in the past or coached against them. Most of our kids do not remember even playing Damascus. They still think Northwest as the # 1 rival. However, the staff will let the players know about this great rivalry no renewed.
