Plante Leaving...

Coach Bob Plante made it official yesterday as he addressed the team to let them know that will be leaving. Wanting to spend more time with his family, Coach Plante made a difficult decision to leave the program to go coach at his sons school, Urbana. Spending time with his boys wasn't a hard descision but leaving a group of kids he loves was very difficult.
Coach Plante has been Coach Kims right hand man on the offense over the 4 years here. He helped bring a strong running game that produced the school's all-time leading rusher in Shawn Perry and two other All-County selections in Quinton Cosby and Jamaal Martin. He also helped develop strong linebacking corps that produced two D1A players in Fred Branch and TJ Radzilowski along with All-County selections Christian Stahl and Dominique Chase. Coach Plante's leaving will be a big loss for the program both from a coaching stand point and as a mentor. He helped shape the lives of many players at the program and for that he will be missed the most.
Thanks Coach Plante for all that you've done here at SV, we wish you the best, except of course if we see Urbana in the playoffs!
