Senior Captain Alex Betancourt has made his college decision to attend Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. Betancourt a three year starter for the Screamin' Eagles choose the school over Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania and plans on playing on tight end for the Yellow Jackets.
For the last three years Betancourt has been a key memeber to the teams success. As a sophomore his dominate blocking helped the Screamin' Eagles pull off a triple overtime win over the Urbana Hawks in the playoffs. After that game, Betancourt extablished himself as the teams best blocker while also demonstrating that he had some of the most reliable hands of all the receivers. Betancourt's hard work and leadership qualities helped him earn Captain status this past season while helping the team return to the playoffs for the 7th straight year.
Betancourt's fun personality, witty remarks, and great imitations of the coaching staff will be greatly missed. We wish you all the best Benny!
